Christmas Show Information
ALL STUDENTS WILL BE IN THE CHRISTMAS SHOW! The Annual Christmas Show will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Clinton Middle School in the gymnasium. Admission will be $5 plus one canned good item. Food items will be donated to the Samaritan Center. Participating students and parent volunteers backstage will not need to pay admission (but feel free to donate food items). Concessions will be available. You will also have the opportunity to purchase flowers for your dancer. Proceeds from the concessions and flower sales will benefit our Performance Team to help with costume and competition fees. (Remember Performance Team is open to all dancers. Auditions are held each Fall!) Students should arrive at the Middle School at 1:00 p.m. and make their way to the dressing rooms (look for signs). It would be a good idea to have hair/make-up done prior to arriving. Line-up of the show will be posted. It is suggested if your student is in multiple routines that you make a list showing the order of routines for your student. Please ask if you have questions and let us know if you won’t be in the show. You may take pictures backstage prior to or after the show. No flash photography will be allowed during the show. However, you may video tape and take pictures during the show if you can do so without lighting equipment. Please be courteous to those around you. Don’t block someone’s view.
We need parent volunteers to work backstage. Please sign up at the front desk if you are willing to work. Our show CANNOT happen without our parent volunteers. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Costumes for the Christmas Show
Hair: must be in a bun at the crown of the head with bangs slicked back except for Preschool students who may wear their hair however they wish (remember if your student is in Preschool Tumbling, hair needs to be out of face for tumbling). Stage make-up should be worn (red lips, blush, neutral/brown eye shadows, eye liner, mascara). Please ask your teacher if you have questions!
Preschool Combos - any Christmas or Sunday dress and any color tights, black tap shoes, pink ballet shoes
Preschool Tumbling - (girls) black or Christmas colored leotard, footless tights (or tights rolled to ankle), barefoot
(boys) black shorts and Christmas colored shirt, barefoot
Baby & Me (will perform with Preschool Tumbling) - black or Christmas colored leggings and shirt (or leotard and tights if they would like), barefoot
Primary I Combo & Primary II Combo - black leotard, black leggings or pants, black tap shoes (tap)
black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes (ballet)
Basic Tumbling - black or Christmas colored leotard, footless tights (or tights rolled to ankle), barefoot
Cheer/Dance Team - red or green t-shirt, black pants or leggings, tennis shoes
Hip Hop - red or green t-shirt, black pants or leggings, tennis shoes
Ballet I, II, III, IV, PrePointe & Pointe - black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes or Pointe shoes
Tap I, II, III, & IV - black leotard, black pants or leggings, black tights or socks, black tap shoes
Jazz I, II, III, IV - black leotard, black pants or leggings black tights or socks, black jazz shoes
Tumbling I, II, & III - black or Christmas colored leotard (MATS students may wear MATS leotard), tan tights rolled to ankle (black dance shorts are optional) barefoot
Lyrical/Contemporary - black leotard, black leggings, black jazz shoes
