HAIR: Please see our website for further information on what to buy and watch the video for hair/make-up tips! Smooth hair back (no bangs) into a tight ponytail first at the crown of the head. Then wrap the pony around and use a hair net and bobby pins to hold it in. Use hairspray or mousse to slick back hair and bobby pins to hold any extra hair. Hair piece provided with costume will be secured on the right side unless told otherwise by instructor.
MAKE-UP: Please see our website for further information on what to buy and watch the video for hair/make-up tips! Remember this makeup is used for performances only and it is to make sure that the stage lights do not wash out the students faces.

Parent Volunteers - We need parent volunteers to work backstage during recital. Please sign up at the front desk. We cannot have a recital without our volunteers. We will be observing social distancing backstage as well as in the audience. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Recital Fee $40 per family due September 1st. Tickets and t-shirts will be handed out during dress rehearsals beginning Sept. 21st.
Fees - All fees must be paid in full prior to recital. Please see the front desk if you have questions.
List of Routines - It is advisable to make a list of your student’s routines in order of performance for your student to have backstage. Please put students' names in all costumes, tights, shoes and accessories. If you have a preference on first name spellings (nickname or formal name) please see Kim prior to programs being printed.
Drinks, Snacks, Flowers & Silent Auction Items - Will be provided for sale during rehearsal and the shows as a fundraiser for our Performance Team members to assist with the cost of competitions, conventions, and costumes. Please help support our team!!
Absolutely NO videotaping or flash photography during the recital. (You may videotape during dress rehearsal only, a professional will be taping the show and you may purchase a video download of the show.)
Please turn off or turn to silent all cell phones at rehearsal and during the show. If you must enter or leave after the show has started, please do so ONLY between numbers out of courtesy to our dancers.
If you are not working backstage during the show, you will not be allowed to go back and forth to the backstage. Parents or family members that have volunteered to work backstage need to remember that they are there to help ALL of our dancers and NOT just their dancer. We do appreciate your help!
DADS and BROTHERS are NOT allowed in the girls’ dressing rooms. Thank you for respecting all of the dancers!
Dancers may bring a water bottle but please no soda. We don’t want anyone to ruin their costumes.
Colored Pencils and a coloring book or paper or something that they can sit quietly with while waiting for their turn to go on stage will help to keep them happy while they wait. (DVD players may be helpful as well.) Students must stay until after the finale. Please make sure to check with the parents in the dressing room to sign out your child before you leave. We want to make sure that every child makes it home safely.
Recital Day: Students need to arrive for rehearsal with hair and makeup done. Parents are responsible for their own students during the dress rehearsal.
Please make sure to put your child’s name on each and every piece of their costume, shoes, tights, etc. Dancers are not allowed in the audience during the show. Remember costumes are worn only in the dressing rooms and on stage.
* Please remember girls.... no underwear is to be worn with costumes and tights for the show!
Students are NOT allowed to wear jewelry during the performance.
Please check with a backstage volunteer before leaving your child backstage to make sure your child has someone that will be helping them.

Students need to arrive 10 minutes before scheduled time with hair and makeup done to get dressed for dress rehearsal and pictures. Only one parent per student to help change costumes if necessary, but no parents are allowed in room where pictures will be taken or in dance rooms during dress rehearsal unless invited by instructor or photographer.
Recital Pictures - Valerie Meeker of Valerie Meeker’s Photography will be taking our recital pictures. There will be order forms to fill out. The dancer will need to hand in an order form and money for each costume sitting in order to get an individual picture taken in that costume. For example, combo classes will have two different costumes so would need two completed order forms if you want individual pictures taken in each outfit. If your student is in multiple classes, you will need an order form and money for each costume you want an individual picture taken. The proofs will then be online at www.valeriesphoto.com for you to view and place an additional order if you would like. Once you are logged into her homepage, click “Events”. Then find By Grace Recital 2020. You will have to enter your email address and then you will see all the pictures and be able to place your order. Once you checkout, you will get your total. You will need to mail your check and make payable to: Valerie Meeker, 487 SW 700 Rd., Deepwater, Missouri 64740. Once your payment is received, the order will be placed and she will either mail it to you or deliver it to the studio, whichever option you choose at checkout.
