Performance Team Update:
The Performance Team had a great weekend at Tremaine Dance Competition & Convention January 6th thru 8th. Convention classes were awesome and the team members learned so much. The contemporary number to "America" won 1st place and the Best Showmanship Award. A complete list of the competition results are posted on the team page of our website. Congratulations to all of you! Next competition is in March.
M.A.T.S. Team Update:
The M.A.T.S. Team will compete at the second regular meet of the season on Sunday, February 5th, at Basehor-Linwood High School in Basehor, Kansas. Students will be competing with routines assigned to them based on their individual skill level and age. Students must place 1st thru 7th to qualify for the championship meet later this month. Good luck to all of you!
Instructor Update:
As you know, Miss Eva is filling in for Miss Vanessa while she is on maternity leave. Also, Miss Jessi has taken a fulltime job in Kansas City in her field of study and will no longer be able to teach at By Grace. Miss Tia Burkhardt will be returning and teaching the Wednesday night classes that were taught by Miss Jessi. Miss Eva will be taking over the Thursday night classes. Jilllian Gunter and Miss Tia have been helping out temporarily in Acrobats I & II while Miss Caiti attends a required class at her college. Miss Caiti will be back in these classes in March. Please ask if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you instructors!
Reminder: Observation Week is February 12th thru 17th. Bring your cameras and come watch your students! Please remember that space is limited so be patient as instructors and students make adjustments. Thank you!
Spring Recital Update:
Spring recital is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the CHS Performing Arts Center in Clinton. Just a reminder that the recital fee of $40 per family will be due by May 1^st. You may pay this amount at any time prior to that date. You will receive five recital tickets for this fee. Please ask if you have any questions.
Costumes for Spring Recital:
The recital costumes have been ordered! Pictures of the costumes for each class are posted at the studio. You will also find a costume fee schedule listed by class. The costume balances minus your deposit already paid will be due by February 28th. The front desk will have each individual account balance. Please ask if you have questions.

Vocal Instruction
By Grace offers vocal instruction from Mrs. Karen Page. Please ask for details.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are available at the front desk. The certificates may be used for tuition, clinics, costumes, or merchandise. These make great gifts!

Policy Reminders

Please remember to follow our studio rules: Wait inside for your ride, dress appropriately for class, no jeans, no jewelry, no gum, do not stand on the furniture, be on time, show respect to our teachers and other students. Please remember that repeated absences affect your learning and performances. Try to keep absences to a minimum and let us know if you are going to be gone.

Students please remember that we are a Christian-based dance studio and that no rowdy or inappropriate behavior is permitted in the studio. Let's remember our Christian values! It would also be appreciated if the students would clean up after themselves; picking up trash, etc. Thank you!!!! Show respect for the studio property. Also, no one is allowed in dance rooms without permission from an instructor or the front desk. Thank you.

Just a reminder that if you are enrolled in a ballet class, you must wear appropriate attire. That means a leotard, tights, ballet shoes, hair back out of face, and ballet skirts are optional. Thank you.

We have a lost & found box located at the front desk. It is growing! Stop by if you have lost an item.

School Closings

Just a reminder that if the Clinton School District is closed due to inclement weather, By Grace will also be closed. Otherwise, we will have class. Our schedule does not always coincide with the school. Listen to KDKD if you have doubt.
